Number 10 nearly doubles web traffic

Downing Street said that in October number10.gov.uk received 769,850 page views, with 317,136 visits from 244,833 unique users, publicservice.co.uk reported.

The figures were comparatively much lower in september with the Downing Street web portal receiving just 440,038 page views, 179,395 visits and 129,724 unique users.

Number 10 said: “A number of major reviews and reports were published during October.” These included Chancellor George Osborne’s Comprehensive Spending Review, the Strategic Defence and Security Review, the government’s review of quangos and Sir Philip Green’s Efficiency Review.
